LightRecycle Washington:
The LightRecycle Washington program was launched on January 1, 2015 to provide free recycling of mercury-containing lights for Washington residents and small businesses. The program is funded with an environmental handling charge on the sale of new mercury-containing lights.
A network of over 200 authorized Collection Sites has been established throughout Washington State, including retailers, municipal waste facilities, collection events, and in some cases, residential curbside collection. Eligible Washington State residents and small businesses can recycle up to 10 mercury-containing lights per day for free, by dropping them off at authorized Collection Sites throughout the state.
For small businesses and residents outside of Washington Ecolights offers:
ECOLIGHTS PRE-PAID RECYCLING KITS: Visit our online store to purchase recycling kits for all types and quantities of fluorescent lights and CFLs. If you’re recycling the straight fluorescent lights from your warehouse or switching your home to energy efficient CFLs, we have a safe and cost-effective solution.
DROP-OFF: Eliminate shipping and transportation charges by dropping off your lamps off at any of our locations, or with one of our authorized collection partners.
We take our responsibility to our customers and to the environment seriously. We maintain our own Environmental Health and Safety department to ensure that our customers stay in compliance with current environmental regulations. If for any reason we can’t service you, we’ll direct you to resources or organizations that will assist you in your effort to recycle your materials safely.
